Welcome to episode #12 of the Silent Noise Project. This episode is 56 minutes and 06 seconds long and weighs 74.9 megabytes. If your mileage varies, it’s possible that you’re a victim of sabotage.
The People’s Revolutionary Podcast Naming Committee has decreed that this episode shall be called “there’s no time like a little bit later episode” because “fuck capitalism” just isn’t as catchy.
FYI, the zine for the last episode is here and the zine for this episode is here. You can download both of those for free, although both Gumroad and I would just love it if you would drop a few dollars/euros/pounds on it, or if you are wealthy, several thousand dollars/euros/pounds on it.
Warning!
As always, this podcast is NSFW and NSFS. You have been warned.Notice!
I had some really weird microphone issues with this episode. I don’t know why. I’ve had a lot of electronics fail on me lately (things get old) and am working hard at replacing them one at a time. But I sound like I have a terrible cold most of the time. What the actual hell?Show Notes!
Get ’em while they’re hot! Just like you and me, their attractiveness declines over time.
Chapter One – Capitalism Ruins Everything
I don’t actually have any notes for this chapter, in an effort to protect the guilty. But here’s the last thing I ever bought from Sears before it became So Big Its Failure Was Inevitable:

Chapter Two – Good-Bye Gilbert
The Gilbert Gottfriend podcast is here.
You can watch the Gilbert documentary on TubiTV here (while it lasts).
Chapter Three – Secrets “They” Don’t Want You to Know About
I got nothing.
Except for this! I did write about RSS feeds a long time ago.

The Way, Way Back is one of my favorite movies. (You can buy it from Amazon here, and yes that’s an affiliate link where I’ve sold my soul for the sixteen or so cents I’ll get if you actually buy the DVD from them. But please check local used DVD shops first, assuming you’re lucky enough to have one). So I was looking it up on Wikipedia, because I could not remember all of the songs on it. (One of the reasons I love it is because it has a great soundtrack—and there I go again with the affiliate links)
Anyway, I went down an internet rabbit hole following, as one does (especially if one has ADHD) and I saw this. Oh, gosh. If only there were some resource available where they could actually figure out where the person they are interviewing is actually from:
True that:
I also bought a manual typewriter from eBay (it was far less expensive than I thought) and am making zines with it. Here’s a preview:

I couldn’t find that “Cover me!” scene from Holmes & Yoyo but here’s the title sequence:

Here’s some music I’ve been listening to lately. Enjoy!
It occurs to me that before we had Black Mirror we had “Rockit”. I love how the video begins with a quick rejection of what is perhaps the pinnacle of British gentility: a mechanical foot kicks away fresh milk on the doorstep.
