I was looking for some Halloween music on the Free Music Archive (because spooky season will soon be upon us!) and was delighted to find an English band called Nutmeg who makes fun folk music. This video is from nineteen years ago:

It’s also their only video on YouTube, sadly. 

As I said, their music is based on folklore of the British Isles, but they have a few albums that are based on deliciously spooky stuff:

• Blood Rain — This one includes a song about Gef, the Talking Mongoose.
• Ghosts (and Goolies) — Songs about 50 Berkeley Square, the Owl Man, and the Rendlesham Lights.
• Lore! — A song about Jenny Greenteeth and much more!
