I love Twitter, but sometimes 140 characters is too limiting. Sometimes I have thoughts that are too long for it, but too short for a blog post. (I’m not going to post them on Facebook, which is private. Besides, I hate Facebook and hardly ever use it, except for business purposes.)

I think what I’m going to is just add all these miscellaneous thoughts to an ongoing blog post, which I’ll eventually release on a Friday when it’s long enough to bother with—hence, “Friday Miscellany”.

I actually did this a few years ago (see this and this) but soon realized that Twitter is a much better place to share links. (Although it is not a better place to archive them, but whatever.)

These won’t appear every Friday, just whenever the post gets long enough to waste ten or fifteen minutes of your time.
