Welcome back. Here are a few more things to help get you through your weekend.
- Saladin Ahmed talks about world building in fantasy novels.
- Wil Wheaton is reading public domain stories. These are cold readings, with no editing, which is gutsy. (Also, it’s been too damn long since we’ve had a new Radio Free Burrito episode. Hulk sad.)
- Rachael reflects on last year’s garden and makes plans for this year’s garden. I admit, I spent a long time just looking at the pictures of her beautiful garden.
- The world as we knew it is going away. We are all traveling together into a new world, whether we like it or not. It’s okay to grieve for that old world.
- Xanadu isn’t a great movie. But it isn’t that bad. Roger Ebert said so. Plus, we can listen to “Magic” by Olivia Newton John. Between that song and the fact that Phoebe loves Xanadu, I really wish it were available on one of the streaming services.
- We had lonely days before all this started. We’ll get through this. (God, I miss the Bee Gees. They were incredibly talented.)
- Need something to read? Here’s a list of 100+ sites where you can download free legal literature.
